edit: as an aside, AVX aircraft company designs coaxial rotor, dual ducted fan helicopters... with an "easy modification" available for existing OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopters.. neat! faster, more fuel efficient, increased payload weight capacity, level forward flight, and quieter.
