What's wrong with the search function? For instance, do a keyword search for ICBC. The most recent hit is a thread from Oct 2. Yet, there is a more recent thread here that uses the term "ICBC" in the title and various posts. http://www.revscene.net/forums/icbc-...g-t628549.html It doesn't matter if you capitalize or not, or search entire posts vs. titles only. It doesn't pull up the linked thread. |
Been like that forever. I brought it up back in February 2009: http://www.revscene.net/forums/somet....html?t=565412 Someone else complained July 2009: http://www.revscene.net/forums/wtf-w....html?t=581433 SG's last post in that thread is not relevant. Same erroneous results are produced whether you use the quick search or the advanced search. I found the following link: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...rking-properly Maybe need to rebuild search index? I dunno. |
try downloading more RAM it will queue the new search results better. you guys must have pentiums only, i have intel so it works for me. |
best way to do it is to use google. Search: icbc site:www.revscene.net/forums it seems to give the most recent results most of the time. Might not be convienient, but its an alternative. Posted via RS Mobile |

If you want to look for recent posts only, just go into the advanced search and select the option part way down saying you want results from x-date and newer. That has always worked like a charm for me! |
vBulletin search has always been limited, I think there are add ons that help improve it though? Would agree on using google custom search, but that depends on whether or not the thread gets indexed quickly. |
