coming from queensborough you can take a left where howe st. exit is, your supposed to go straight but it just has wrong way signs for stupid ppl ..obviously they were trying to lose the cops by going in the other direction

NEW WESTMINSTER (NEWS1130) - Two people are in hospital after a serious head-on collision on the Queensborough Bridge earlier this afternoon.

A cube van drove into oncoming traffic on the southbound exit lane at the bridge, hitting a Mazda pick-up truck head-on. The two people in the van tried to run away, but were captured by police. The driver of the Mazda pick-up is currently in hospital in serious condition.

Both suspects are in custody, but no charges have been laid yet.

The van's driver was trying to escape police in New Westminster earlier in the day. Two suspects in the van had been spotted stealing from an abandoned mill. Shortly after noon, a police officer noticed a gate at an abandoned mill on Duncan Street in Queensborough has been rammed and two people were loading items from the mill into the back of a van. The two fled before more help could arrive. While escaping, the van clipped the back of the parked police vehicle.
The officer followed the suspects and tried to pull them over before their car struck a Mercury Sable sedan in the intersection of Ewen Avenue and Howes Street. The seventy-five-year-old woman who was in the vehicle had to be taken to hospital for treatment.

So, you don't feel sorry for the driver of the mazda pickup, who was just driving along normally when a cube van proceeding in the WRONG DIRECTION on the bridge hit him head on? You need to read the article before making a comment like that.

wow wtf. I was headed up to SFU from Richmond around that time too on queensborough. Guess it occurred shortly right after. Hope the victims are recovering.

My co-worker knows the guy in the Mazda truck. It doesn't look good for him as they aren't expecting him to pull through. :(
