Nitrogen tire inflation in Vancouver area? other than Costco, where else does nitrogen tire inflation? I'm ready to mount my winters (have new tires and rims) and would like to try the whole nitrogen thing. Any of our sponsor shops to nitrogen? |
Air is around 80% Nitrogen and 20% Oxygen ...whats the point? |
What he said. ^^^^ Not to mention, to properly inflate the tires with Nitrogen, your wheels need a second valve to release the oxygen. For regular road use, don't bother wasting time or money with it. |
that's what i figured, but if it was readily available i thought i'd try it for kicks. |
Don't even bother falling for those green valve stem caps. The concept behind this is that nitrogen molecules are bigger than oxygen molecules, thus bleeding less frequently. It is also said that the oxygen degrades the inside of the tires, but that is irrelevant, considering your tires would wear out long, long before then. Honestly, you won't see much of a difference. Save your money for something better! |
If you do insist on going this path.... Destination Toyota in Burnaby offer nitrogen tire inflations. |
all dealerships offer nitrogen filling (though if you didnt get your car from them they will charge!) |
