How To Connect to Local Network Only??

I have two wireless networks running at home right now. One has all my siblings computers connected and the other has just mine and my gaming systems. How can connect to the local network without connecting to that internet.

My connection is with Shaw while there's is with telus. So I prefer to only connect to local network on the telus connection not the internet.

I can connect to both networks at the same time but for whatever reason when I do that my computer decides to use the telus internet connection as default and now my Shaw account.

Assign a static IP to the one that should not have internet access and leave the default gateway blank.

Other way would be to change the binding order of the network interfaces, ie. which one should be used first.

Assuming you have XP. Open your network connections. Across the top you should have an "Advanced" on the menu bar, go to advanced settings, and under connections, move the interface you want for internet to the top of the list.
