Spline Drive lugnuts-- no socket

I dont have the socket to remove my tires. The wheels were after market when i bought the car and I realized I didn't have the key until now. Never will I make this mistake again.

Do these lug nuts use a special key? What are my options to get these off?

thanks

i had similar problems.. what i did was to hammer some hexkeys in it, and unbolt them.. ya.. but say good bye to your lugs after though...

yeah you need the socket to take them off... it's a 6 point spline drive tool

I got one when I bought lugnuts...

Are all of them the same? I wouldn't think that they would be universal.

Anyway can I grab it at lordco and at how much? worth a shot.

i wonder if a gator grip would workhttp://www.mcguckin.com/images/6104339.jpg

Go to tire shop, ask if they have a "key". There, done and done. Suuuuuuuper easy.

Had a gator grip my buddy gave me, tried it and it worked. Damaged the lugnut chrome a bit, but it worked. I'm going to see if I can find a key first-- if not i'll just replace them.

Get a socket.
Hammer the bitch in lightly.

Done.

I think it's a 19? 19 sockets get most lug nuts off. Key or not.

Most any wheel shop will have the spline drive socket and you may be able to pick one up at your local parts store. If you like pop by and we'll see if one of ours will fit.
