URGENT: advice on interview... mrs. or ms. ? I have a job interview in the morning with a woman. I can't just address them as Mr._______ as I have always been doing with previous interviews. What's the best way to find this out whether she goes by Ms or Mrs. professionally?? I thought of just asking the person at the front desk when I get to the office, but that might be a bad idea. I even thought of just taking a 50/50 chance, saying it hesitantly, hoping she would understand and correct me if I'm wrong. But I dunno... It could make me fail my interview right on the spot... or make it seem I didn't do enough prior research or something =/ Help please. TIA. |
I thought if you don't know, you automatically address them as "Ms."? |
Ms. |
Safe bet is always "Ms." |
I thought most interviews, most ppl introduce themselves right off the bat and you just call them by their first name? |
when in doubt, say Ms. Come on dude just google that shit next time. |

Ms. Seriously though, if you didn't get the job because of this, you simply weren't good enough. /thread |

find out instead of just playing it safe. But anyway, I'll just say "Ms." to play it safe since I can't really find out. Thanks for the help, everyone (RS never fails in emergencies :D:thumbsup:!!) Quote:
Unless they specifically say, "call me _____" |

Go with MS. cant go wrong with that! |
Call her Mister. |
call her homie |
"Do you wanna be a mrs. ?" |
Ask the receptionist. It will show them you care enough to find out. Good luck! |
call her ma'am |
Call her miss, it will flatter her that you think she looks young enough to be one. On the flip side, I hate being called ma'am. I'm 26 not 62 jeez. Posted via RS Mobile |
receptionist is always a good idea, she'll probably call her by first name though. |
