This thread reminds me of a story I heard.

My friend had a computer screen saver with a slideshow of random photos of his friends etc. His gf saw that a picture of his ex popped up and she ran around screaming, then locked herself in an attic. What a nut. Apparently she made him delete every female from his fb and they are engaged. WTF I have also heard that she also won't let him see any of his guy friends either.

Common sense would tell me to always respond "She's not as hot as you are".

Girls are naturally territorial creatures, just some feel and express it differently and vary in degree. Bottom line is girls and boys are wired differently. There's a book I've read called Why Women Can't Read Maps and Why Men Don't Listen. It's a great book that talks about how men and woman are wired differently and overtime has evolved through the ages.

Being a "Girl" myself I sometimes get bothered, even though we know very well you guys still watch porn and masturbate and look at women even when you're with us. It makes us feel as though we're inadequate and you're looking elsewhere even though that's not the case.

It all goes down to insecurities. When it comes down to it, girls get better with age. But if you're suffering from over jealous girlfriend syndrome, then start complimenting your girls and notice the small things. It's lame, but girls like to feel beautiful and know that we're wanted & are worthy enough (not for just sex).

I have a friend who is in a similar situation. She had him delete his female friends and hated it when he hung out with us, even if it's just all guys. He rarely hangs out with us lol.

Why would any self respecting guy put up with that? Compromise is one thing... but sacrificing everything who you are is out of the question.

The ONLY logical explanation I could think: They were involved in some sort of incident in which they're testicles were damaged beyond repair.

Other than that, there is abso-effin-lutely no... and I mean NO reason why a sane man would submit to that. Love is not an excuse.

Ive got a friend that gives me shit for not changing the month on my maxim calender. She likes to look at the girls too. And the porn tapped on my fridge is highly encouraged. I like to think of it as a clear display of "this is me, love it or leave it" Obviously I'll grow up some day and keep my porn under the bathroom sink like normal people

I agree with the creepy factor. I mean if it's a tasteful studio shoot I would appricate it. But if it's just straight up soft porn or even full blown nude picture as you wallpaper....that's pretty gross.....and lack of respect for people around you.....

I would question the level of respect of people who are trying to check out stuff on your phone without permission.

A guy on the bus the other day tapped me on the shoulder as I was listening to my MP3 player and checking something out online on my phone. I thought he wanted me to turn it down (it was a bit loud) but instead he asked me how I could read with my screen font so small.

Yeah...how about you stop trying to pry into what I'm doing instead?

How is it a lack of respect for people around you? Its YOUR phone, if they're looking at it, they're not respecting YOU. Its not creepy its human nature, time to grow up and get over it. If you don't like it, get the hell off his phone.

I always enjoy reading posts in the relationship forum by Girl and Miss Crayon, it's nice to have the insight of a girl on issues like this, especially a girl outside of my regular group of friends since their biased.

I'm terrible about checking out other girls when I'm with my gf, I also have a picture of my ex-gf on phone back ground at the moment, but I learned a long time ago how beneficial routine compliments can be. Every day I make a point of telling my gf she looks nice, beautiful, pretty something along those lines. Just the fact that it makes her happy is enough incentive for me to do it, but it definitely helps me get away with pictures of other girls. I also make a point of always complimenting my female friends, pretty much all my friends are girls btw, I've noticed it always makes them smile :).

Lastly...
Almost every guy I know has jealously issues and would flip if their girls had pictures of other guys up, so try to look at things through the girls perspective as well.

I'm surprised she hasn't thrown your phone out the window.. My gf doesn't mind me having pictures of celebs and stuff.. but one time she freaked when she found an old picture of my ex on my comp that I forgot about.

I don't really get jealous.. For me it's more of a respect issue. Same deal, other way around; if she had a picture of Justin Timberlake, some underwear model or some shit, then who cares. But if it's a picture of an ex, then that's not right.
