wtb mugen power intake for b series as tittle states looking for a b series mugen power intake |
Umm.... so maybe you should specify dc2 or ek9 intake, cause depending on what car you are planning to install it in, one or the other might not fit. And btw you know these intake cost like 600$+ used... The intake itself is only the airbox and filter, does not include any intake arm. PM me if you are interested in one for a DC2. |
Well it's for a b17 Gsr but swaped into a crx yeah I figure I have to piece an arm together Posted via RS Mobile |

Pick up the aem hyrbid for crx, it makes good power. Also consider removing the crappy b17 cams, they are junk. |
my oem ITR cams are coming out.. pm me if ur interested. jason, you have the mugen intake box?!?! ur thinking about selling it..?? |
Yeah battery is in the trunk....tell me bout tight fit couldn't fit anything in there with it in ... I have some what of a oem arm ATM it's a gamble but a nice gamble anyone know what the arm diameter for the if box is And for the aem version hmm idunno have a v2 moded to fit but not the look I want under the hood Anyone know anything bout comptec heard there almost exactly same as the mugen As or the cams itr cam will it work with stock ecu and what will I gain from changing this reliability ? Hp gains ? What Kinds of price you looking for them Cheers guys Posted via RS Mobile |
Go with tofu's oem ITR cams, and beg him to sell you his oem valvetrain for cheap too. Comptech and mugen are very similar, I think that you need to do some research, I dounbt any of those airboxes will fit (Unless you hack the shit out of it) because the intake portion of those airboxes is quite large and I suspect it will hit the chassis of the EF/DA or the traction bars. The Diameter of the comptech and mugen at its smallest point is somewhre between 3-4" and the mugen has an agressive taper to it and gets very large near the box. I think your best bet is to buy a comptech and the cut the bottom of the intake box where the intake portion is and then run furnace ducting style hose to the wheel well... I cant see the airbox fitting any other way. Oh, and intake arm size is 3" ID for both. Samco intake arm ftw! |
Hmm research time I guess but damn I really like to have the mugen box looks proper lol please tell me what will te itr cams and valve train gve me Never changed these before so .... Posted via RS Mobile |
well, it wont be any time too soon.. the soonest the cams / whole valvetrain would come out is by spring, so you have quite a bit of time to save up. my stock spec valvetrain set up is exactly a year old, so theyre not too worn out or old either. ITR cams are quite agressive and are great. it'd be best if you got an aftermarket piggyback unit to do some light tuning to the ecu.. to make the most out of the mods. i dont know much about the B17 though.. you can give garagefive a call, they should know more about it. and please dont hack apart the mugen box... there are very few of them left out there.. =( |
No I would never hack the box just an oem arm to fit come one man I'd expect to get beat dwn for hacking up one My toy(Rex) is not a dd basically project turned to hobby to passion I don't know much about upgrading cam and valve train I' prefer running oem with mild upgrades for hp (bolt on) but would like to replace weak parts of this motor for upgrade for reliablility what's deal with oem cams why no good ? Car chirps in third stock Posted via RS Mobile |
Well you would more than likely have to hack the box to make it fit. Upgrading the valvetrain and cams to other honda oem parts will not hurt the reliability. B17a1/B16a1 cams are the worst b series vtec cams, basically as bad as auto vtec cams, moving up to some ITR cams will really wake the engine up, but you should also get a tune, or run a ITR basemap. So if you havent converted to obd1 or bought a zdyne ecu, you will have to do that as well. Anyway, I think you need to do some searching a research on HT. |
car completely running obd1 properly (ie) knock o2 all sensors are working on a virgin p61 ecu thanks for the info guys |
