This video makes me want to try smoking.

I read this guys book and it actually worked for about a month. Then I cracked and smoked again when i was drunk. But after watching this I think I might give it a try again.

Been smoking since I was around 10. After smoking for 22 years, I quit for 5 years and started again. I went on for a few years and quit again. I haven't smoked for quite some time now, but I still miss it. I stand next to people who smoke to get a free whiff of the stuff. Alphamale, tell me when and I will buy you two cartons of the stuff. Come over to the dark side.......................

I quit 2 weeks ago and the video makes sense.

it was a lot easier than I thought it would be, and i now have a lot more money to spend on useless crap.

I've quit for about 3 months and it was the hardest thing I have done. Still get an occassional craving or nostalgic when other people smoke around me.

i've quit for about 2 months now. kept telling myself that the thing i was smoking was poison, which kinda is. took 2 weeks or so that get completely into that mindset. guess it's more or less a psychological battle. I still have an occasional smoke once or twice a month but I can no longer finish an entire one.

You can find his book 'the easy way to quite smoking' online in pdf form. It's worth giving it a read if you're ready to quit but need a bit of help solidifying your efforts. In all honesty, its only hard the first few times when you're drunk. I remember having an epic battle going on in my head but thankfully the pros of quitting highly outweigh the short lived pleasure of having a smoke.

If you're planning on quitting just remember one thing. Smoking is disgusting. Even as a smoker you realize that. You smell like shit all the time and people seriously look down at you with disgust, and rightfully so. Only an idiot would make a conscious decision to poison his own body. Quite for yourself and for your future children, no one deserves to lose their parent to lung cancer before they can even give them grand children.

im not a smoker...
and if I were, this wouldn't help me quit at all.

this was retarded.

liu13 11-14-2010 06:56 PM

can we agree it's all will power

geeknerd 11-14-2010 08:00 PM

yep the ability to follow the method in the video is willpower itself.

dat_steve 11-14-2010 10:18 PM

i agree quitting wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. i find that the people who are really really stuck on smoking need to probably solve some underlying issue before they try to kick the habit. i did think that the video was right when non-smokers sometimes look at smokers with a sense of pity.
