| Installing Windows on macbook
wants to install windows 7 on the macbook and this macbook has os x 10.4 wonder if it can be done. i tried search google, and it says os have to be 10.5 or 10.6 higher? in order to install windows 7 and *how do you upgrade OS ?

As long as it is an Intel based MacBook, you're good to go. Just buy the Snow Leopard install DVD. $35.00.
As a side note, the Snow Leopard upgrade does not require a Leopard Operating System like the instructions state. You can install directly onto the laptop from whatever version of OS X you have. Back up everything first and then do a clean install. Clean installs are always better. And........ don't let the techs at Apple convince you that you need anything else. They don't want people to know the update is a full install. Just make sure your Mac is an Intel based Mac.

Actually, if you're savvy enough, you can do it without purchasing snow leopard (assuming you can get you hands on a friends snow leopard disc, or get someone to create the drivers disc via bootcamp for you from leopard). if you're content with 10.4, you can still install windows by manually partitioning and installing drivers. if you're really hardcore, you can find the drivers manually (maybe a bootcamp download?) and not even need a disc
