.NET Error (Installation Problem) I try to reinstall .NET multiple times but it still will not run properly. I've been trying to run installation for programs like HandBrake, which said it cannot detect .net 2.0 framework. I've been trying with .net 4.0 still nothing. It appears that many people are having the same trouble online but I cannot find any solution. Is it registry? |
i actually had what is likely a similar issue today trying to install ADP's payroll client... it relies on .net 2.0, but the install would fail with an error 1603 i think. The solution is to completely un-install .net version 4, then install whatever program relies on 2.0, then reinstall version 4. .net 4 is new, and seems like it was released a bit too soon. |
Oh so I need to uninstall .net 4, do a few reg clean (i'll use ccleaner) in safe mode, install .net 2 or 3.5, then it would all work? |
Actually, do I need to install ALL .net from the oldest, or are all older function included in the next one? That should be the case or else that would be silly... |
IT FREAKING WORKED!! :) |
