Interior water damage. ok.. my gf left sunroof open last night and it stated rain. luckly it was only open for 3~4 inches and she found out hour later. no puddle, no broken electornics but it's just very wet inside. she tried her best to soak up all the water but two front seats are pretty wet. considering that it's 2011 c-class with 3000kms on it, she is really chocked and concerned. is there anything she can to do have it dried properly? any shops? dealers? thanks in advance for all the suggestions. |
Given that there were no puddles, everything will more than likely be ok. Next sunny day, roll the windows down about an inch or so and let the car run with the heat on high ( floor and dash vents only ) for an hour or so and you should be ok. :) |
Yeah I've had that happen to my car many times, air drying completely will be best and you most likely won't have any damage, probably wasn't enough moisture for mould to grow in the seats. Leather seats or cloth? |
bring the floor mats indoors so the carpet can breath/dry when you turn up the heat. |

She came over and we were suppose to drive out to detailing shop but it was snowing. Anyways, it wasn't nearly bad as I thought so we just decide to crank up the heat, crack sunroof open. We also had some Moisture Absorber from HomeDepot, and it helped alot as well. http://www.overtons.com/modperl/prod...&merchID=4006# |
Park for a few nights in a heated garage with the windows down and the sunroof open. Bring in a space heater if you can. |
