Best way to wire/transfer money to China?

Hi, I need to wire/transfer money over to someone to China. What would be the best/most efficient way to do so ? The amount will be around 500-100$. Thanks in advance.

Money Gram works good, but be prepared to pay the 10-20 dollar fee from Money Gram

Just about every CanadaPost has a moneygram form, just ask them

Which would you suggest, Western Union or MoneyGram?

What kind of information do I need to give them ? Money will be transferred to Guanzhou in china

murd0c 11-20-2010 10:39 PM

either or really both of them are the same. I think money gram is cheaper tho. Just name address of you and the person you are sending it to. Make sure they have ID so they can claim it. You also need the number of the place you are sending it to so it doesnt go to the wrong place

$_$ 11-20-2010 11:49 PM

Ok, here is the thing. The person I'm sending to is from Canada, so they don't have a piece of ID that is with their house address on it in china. What do?

Basically, she is travelling in China..

murd0c 11-21-2010 12:03 AM

thats fine, just add the information that she has on her like a passport number or something.
