The only one left now is Fifth Ave Cinema...
You're referring to Festival Cinemas. Along with Fifth Ave, they have 2 other theatres as well. Check them out.

Only way to save that mall is to have T and T move over there.

I think T&T is happy where they are across the street.

Damn, I really liked Tinseltown. Very nice atmosphere and I would always grab something to eat with some friends at the food court before the movie. I know the food court is not taken over but it's that whole experience. But who knows, maybe this will improve the theater.

Well, more people will go if they show more mainstream movies right when it comes out. And I guess the inevitable 3D takeover too, do they show 3D movies now?

The foodcourt there isn't too bad. Really fond of the AYCE sushi place there, pretty baller lunch for $12. Always gave me afternoon sleepies though.

The actual mall sucks ass but the theater was awesome. They usually skipped the shitty movies, showed the good ones and also some great indie flicks.

they have the nicest theatre in vancouver imo. plus it's never really busy and it's pretty classy there.

also, if one wanted to get a bj or a sex session this is the only theatre i can see it happening. though, i've never been fortunate enough to get either

This doesnt really come as a surprise since the theater is located in a mall that was once highly invested in before all the investors pulled out and then left to die.
This could be a great move for Cineplex, buying it out but not necessarily changing it to their mold so they can reach out and use the asian film festivals etc to attract a certain niche.
Plus who doesnt love those raising armrests & bend back chairs? Not to mention we can use our Cineplex movie tickets now, booya.
