Just got Orange Box on steam for $7.50. What order to play HL2? Ok, first of all I've been waiting for this sale for so long to start playing HL2 and TF2, as I've heard both were great games.. It's on sale for $7.50 at steam only today so grab it if you're in the same situation!! :) Anyway just wondering if the order that the single player HL2 campaign should be played HL2 --> HL2:e1 --> HL2:e2, and also where does lost coast come in? I heard people mentioning that I should also play Portal before HL2:e2, why is that, I thought they were completely different games. |
just play them in the order they were released. hmm i missed the last TOB sale for $10... $7.50 is a steal but i already have TF2...does anyone know if I just get an extra TF2 that I can gift? |
Lost Coast comes in between episodes 1 and 2, but it's really just a side mission, and not that interesting. Portal is completely separate, there's no reason to play it in any order with the HL games. I hope you enjoy the best games ever created. I wish I could play them for the first time again! |
HL2 > Ep1 > Ep2. Though you may want to skip both episodes all together and wait till Valve eventually releases Ep 3 which is about 3yrs overdue. TF2 has evolved past the original release to include new and exciting items and achievements that make it a whole lot more fun to play because of the newer play styles that each combination of acquired items bring with it. so much fun Play Portal ASAP because the sequel is due to be released very soon and it will be epic. The Source Engine is a fine example of what an efficient game engine should look like. Not to mention the SDK is completely free to download and develop with through steam as well as all the documentation and tutorials that go along with it. |
Portal is seperate, but it is the same world as hl2. Posted via RS Mobile |
