i wouldn't call it good....sure its better than the rest in that pic. But if you want your 'ideal' healthy sandwich meal....its gonna taste like rabbit food. Whatever....its a whole lot better than Quiznos at least. |
I believe you need to cut your carb intake so avoid things like pasta and potatoes, I'm sure theres more to it too |
Diet is probably the most important one to gain abs, in order to get those abs you basically need low body fat. Get the diet down, cut your carbs down, do regular cardio, and don't forget to lift heavy. |
Your butter belly butt is the last person i'd be taking ANY fitness advice from. Quote:

Reduce body fat is the only way to get abs. Abs as a muscle really don't actually grow very much compared to other muscles. You can 1000 sit ups a day and never have visual abs. Sure they will be strong but you have to get the skin tight around them to show them. Limit your carbs and sugars and burn away excess calories. Berz out. |
^It's more body fat percentage than anything else. i've had a six pack for years and i probably do 50 situps a month at the most. |
from what i heard, doing 100 crunches everyday help alot and you'll get abs in 3months ! |

Diet's huge, cut water weight, etc. A key element most people forget is that you gotta work them hard and heavy if you actually want to build size and definition. Repetitive exercises like crunches and leg lifts aren't really gonna help you. Think about how much your abs do in day to day movements in supporting your entire upper body, cardio is nothing for them. For other muscle groups you don't do repetition exercises to build size, you lift heavy and tear the muscle as much as you can (without hurting yourself) to get size - same goes for abs. They're tough though, almost a "born with it or without it" muscle like calves. Just be prepared to be very very sore at first if you start training your abs hard. |
I can see that I have a 6 pack under the slight amount of fat I have right now, but I can feel that I can have an 8 pack. The bottom 2 don't have enough mass to be seen. When I use the machines to work my abs, I can only get the top 6 to be worked. And decline weighted sit ups work below those 2. Basically, the exercises I do work either too high up, or too low, is there a way to work the middle ones? This is not a troll post. Just didn't want another abs thread so I posted in here. |
crunches on an exercise ball seems to work my midsection |
^^ yep that's what I do... Also kneel down and do crunches while holding on to the tricep ropes. Berz out. |

P90X ab-ripper 3x per week and jogging to work and back (20 mins) 5x per week has been working for me. I find it a good balance between increasing muscle and decreasing body fat. |
