For the best post school opportunities, you have leave BC and even Canada (Carleton or UMontreal are two schools in Canada that offer Industrial design).. I suggest ones of the US universities located at the rust belt, they often have internships with nearby factories / facilities. In Canada, Windsor is pretty much the only one with Ford's support in mechanical engineering. Not to mention tuition and living standards are relatively affordable. I thought you wanted to do automotive design? Then Art Centre College of Design in California or Coventry in the UK. UK or the US will be the best picks because you get to work in the industry. Bottom line, don't worry about loans etc, just go where the epicenter of the activities of your field is. Focus on your work, but be mindful, to be successful, you have to balance life and work, since the design world is a collaborative effort. |
auto engineering is extremely competitive. i wish you the best of luck |
