wheel/tire fitment question.

Hopefully an easy answer, here's the question. I have a set of 4 195/75/14 snow rubs, I can get a set of 4 14x5.5 wheels I believe are +40 offset (the wheels are from a '98 Civic), will this set up work on my 91 4door Civic winter beat'? Just curious about rubbing issues and what have you.

Thanks in advance.

Shouldn't be a problem

shouldn't be a problem, even if it rubs it will be minimal.

however the 195/75/14 with 14x5.5 is not ideal on a 91 civic

I'm assuming 14x5 would be better suited? Just curious as to why aswell?

Thanks

14x5 to 14x6.5 can all fit 195/75/14 tire. 6.5" would be the best width.

195/75/14 has a overall diameter of 25.5". which is about 2" larger overall than the original tire spec for vehicle.
