It's TOTALLY because of her looks and popularity. She's been away the past 3 years cuz of maternity leave, and BOOM - comes back in the prime time news anchor position? If I was one of the other news anchors, I'd feel kinda shafted.

They didn't "step down"...they got their contracts cancelled/fired...and have been replaced with "Talking Heads version 2011". It's how the media works. You show up for work one day and are out the door. Most media contracts can be terminated with 1 pay period's notice and there is no security in the business and very little employer loyalty.

I have no doubt that what you say about Tamara is true, but so what? As zulu mentioned, media is a cut-throat business. You have to use whatever you have to get ahead, even if that means being a fake blond and being nice to the right people at the right time.

CTV isn't a bad, but I still prefer the CBC for more down-to-earth reporting. Even after their HDTV upgrade, Global News still looks amateurish.

Many years ago,a friend of mine,her dad dated Pamela Martin,I got to meet her one day at her house,I don't know if she still lives there,but at the time,she owned a big house and was living in West Van,just below the British Properties.

Tamara works out at Studeo55 and is at times there at the same time as one of the actresses I work with, I've literally had to make sure to leave with her and put her into the truck otherwise she would've slapped Tamara silly and it'd be all over the tabloids haha.
