South Korea to fortify islands -Island attacked by North gets $27M for reconstruction South Korea's president promised Tuesday to transform five islands that lie along the tense maritime border with North Korea into "military fortresses" impervious to the kind of deadly attack the rival neighbour launched last month. As the government in Seoul struggles to counter the widespread impression its response was too weak and too slow, the new defence minister also ordered his top commanders to retaliate with force if attacked. President Lee Myung-bak has demanded upgraded rules of engagement to allow the military to respond more forcefully to provocations since the Nov. 23 shelling of Yeonpyeong Island, a tiny enclave of military bases and fishing communities along the Koreas' disputed western sea border. He has also reinforced troops stationed on the island.... Meanwhile, the top diplomats from the U.S., Japan and South Korea met in Washington to discuss North Korea. They jointly urged Pyongyang to stop the "belligerent" behaviour.... Seoul has pledged $26 million to help rebuild Yeonpyeong, while the city of Incheon, which has jurisdiction over the island, has requested help to modernize underground shelters and buy equipment for the fishermen who used to ply their trade on the island. http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2010/1...ortresses.html :(:( |

They should build a SNSD theme park |

If only SNSD played more concerts in NK then NK would attack less often? |
It seems like north korea's army is just too huge. So, I say send all the hot south korean girls over here to get empregnated by us and have babies, which we can send to fight in the war. It's for the good of everyone. I'll do my part if i have to. |

There is obviously such a hidden agenda going on with this entire North Korea bullshit, it's sickening. So the Wikileaks founder is a threat to national security across the globe and needs to be removed from the picture, but Kim Jong-Il and his weapons, Osama Bin laden are allowed to continue on? If the people in power truly wanted to put either one of them out of business, they could do it overnight, it would be nothing. Fuck politics. This is crazy. |
You mean leverage. Last I checked, wiki leaks dude has no guns. |

If the U.S. legitimately started a war to kill bin laden, then bin laden would be dead. That is pretty much a fact. You can not tell me the only reason he is still alive and doing business is because he manages to evade and outsmart the worlds premier super power, year after year after year after year, for over a decade now. Saddam Hussein tried that, the U.S. wanted him dead; the ruler of an entire country, and how long did that take? If the U.S. legitimately wanted bin laden dead, he would be dead. So don't you find it a little odd Kim Jong Il stays on a "constant warning basis" despite everything he's already done and plans to do, yet similar characters are already burning in hell - Saddam Hussein for example, not even sitting in a U.S. military prison somewhere, but executed by being hung by a rope, a rope? Ignore everything you've heard from media, just think about it for yourself - can you honestly still tell me politics has nothing to do with this? |
