Even still. Those guards knows what's up with the Starks and shit. Why would they just let a highborn and heir to winterfell go freely? I'm sure the lords of the vale would still be interested. She isn't Robyn's cousin after all as well.

Lol I read all the spoilers because I don't follow the story line as much as you guys, the spoilers mean nothing to me. It sort of just fills in the gaps for me.
Keep em coming 
In any case, I wish this season ended with more of a bang, maybe it was more relevant to the people that are actually reading the book and following the storyline with greater intent.

Bran finally reaches his destination, completely new characters are introduced. They have magical powers - not fake magic but actual fucken fireballs - and they have been around fighting "the others" for thousands of years, before "men" were even thought of. Bran talks to a tree. A fucken man tree
---This obviously starts a new, pretty important storyline with cool magic and shit
I know I have "stood up" for the show being questioned before, but I really wonder where all these high expectations come from? It sure seems pretty solid to me. They left many new plots to look forward to, and closed off some by killing some major characters including one who has been the main villain since day 1.

My guess is Varys knew that, thought about what a shit-show it was going to be back at the castle, knew he'd probably be implicated, and said "Fuck that noise".

I was impressed, small advancements in some story lines and major ones in others. All in all a great finale, highs, lows, emotions, action, drama and jaw drops. I can't wait for the next season! True Blood starts next week, at least that will keep me going for a few months.
I haven't read the GOT novels and only follow the TV show. Other than the odd reality show I only watch critically acclaimed TV series and must say that GOT is one of the best shows I have ever watched. I don't really understand how people are getting lost or missing major parts of episodes. Kind of reminds me of The Walking Dead thread when people complain that the show is slow or boring, not enough action and killing, too much talking, etc... To each their own but if you aren't actively watching, engaged in the show and connecting with the characters then why bother watching at all?

I don't think Daenerys can control the black dragon. I have read more into this but won't spoil it for other people (even with spoilers!)
Bran is just an underwhelming character so far. Maybe he'll get better now that he could uhm... fly?
I think Mances lost a good chunk of his army during the first attempt at The Wall. You have to take attrition into consideration too. And as it showed in the movies, I think Stannis double prongs attack with surprised calvary charging rout a good portion of the remainder. Back in the medieval day, calvary was the shit and a calvary charge at flank can rout a lot of infantry. Mances' infantry arent exactly well-equipped and they were not in formation.
I don't think the Hound died.

All the Stark males are dead (everyone thinks that Rickon & Bran died when Theon sacked Winterfell) after the Red Wedding, and their army & bannermen slaughtered.

They have no vehicles, and no boats. The only reason they are a threat is because one guy (Mance Rayder) happened to be able to get them to gather together to get past the wall. If not for him, they'd still be doing what wildlings do - fight amongst each other, barely get by as "savages". There isn't a single city or even town in the north past the wall. Just campsites throughout the forest that barely count as villages.
Some are able to put together boats to get around the wall, but they don't really have the means to have assemble large boats to make it through rough oceans

Speaking of the Starks. Despite having a lot of bad guys for this season, anyone still unsatisfied that it wasn't a Stark children who got revenge? It would have been sweet if Arya (or even Sansa) got to kill Joffrey slowly.
Pretty much all the Stark children have left and forgotten their old life's completely. I still hope for some sort of Stark reunion one day and they ruling the North again.
