A 1984 Chevy Sprint. Now that's frugal!

The original CRX had similar numbers - tiny engine + weighed next to nothing.

You were the one trying to sound like a smartass and ended up being failed for your attempt at being funny.

Teh Doucher 12-12-2010 09:23 PM

get the prius if you want to be eco-friendly

get the tdi jetta if you want to get a lot of km's from one tank of fuel.

The carbon footprint of the Prius is larger than that of an average car. One study says its larger than that of the Hummer H2.
(need to include energy used in making car/batteries+shipping/refining of battery materials)

The VW will last longer, diesel engine will last ~3x as long as a gas one with proper maintenance. Also the emissions from diesels are much cleaner now then they used to be.

Wow, there are still people out there that believe that "study". It has been thoroughly debunked on various sites.

Plus, if you burn biodiesel, your car can smell like cooking french fries! Drive all the hotboxers behind you nuts ;)

I can't believe there are still people that buy the whole "carbon footprint" bullshit.

ae101 12-13-2010 09:39 AM

i'd totally go for the crz just cuz of looks & should u change the way u drive if u wanna save gas, ppl say that a lot these days

ilvtofu 12-13-2010 09:49 AM

It wouldn't seem sensible to me to lose that much practicality for a bit of gas money, maybe if the CR-Z was affordable, but a fit or even a civic is almost 10k less base price, lets say 7k with options
