Elmendorf C-17 crash video

Looks like they just released the footage from the crash during the summer in Anchorage.

Carries some similarities of the B52 crash at Fairchild in '94.

I wanted to see the crash lol. 8 seconds left in the video I was like okay here we go... Then it ends. Lol.

2nd video delivers. Any more info on the first?

that was actually really sad..

from youtube.

" the pilot was a show off with a history of breaking the rules. This would be his last stupid stunt, unfortunately he took his crew with him. Also onboard was a senior officer who was set to retire, his family watched this happen from the ground."

"he killed a senior officer who was going to retire soon after and I think that was his last flight. Nobody would go up with him and the senior officer said he could only fly the plane if he had that senior officer on board. He was warned again and again not to do risky stunts. One time he almost crashed showing off at a game his daughter was at. He pulled out just in time. He was a hot dog and killed innocents here. See Czar 52 Crash on wikipedia."

Shitty deal. That's why people get mad when you go more than rate 1 so close to the ground.

The angle of ascent right after takeoff was incredible. And tight, low-speed banking like that in a large aircraft is so risky. Very tragic.

Not really LOL videos since everyone onboard was killed.

Not sure if it's just a rumour or not but I've heard from various people (in the pilot circle) that the last recordings on the black box of the B52 were of the pilot saying he was sorry and the senior officer saying something along the lines of "way to go you fucking idiot" immediately before impact.

JD i wanted to thank you but i couldn't. Most defiantly not LOL material. That's what i thought when i read jtanner's post. And what does the second video deliver? Dead people? If that's what your after then yup!

It's interesting peoples fascination with deadly accidents, yet i'm here clicking on it too. I didn't know about this accident. I'm sure they all died doing what they loved. It's too bad when a cowboy pilot (if that's what happened) takes over the controls and this happens.
