65mm TB on a '93 b18a1?

I'm curious what anyones thoughts are on matching a 65mm/2.5inch CAI to a 65mm TB to a stock intake mani bored to match?

I know the stock tb is 58mm will 7mm really free up any gains? or just increase throttle response?

Thanks

If its possible to machine out the stock intake to do this then you will see respectable top end gains, but tuning will be required to take full advantage of the increased airflow. Port matching would be good as well while the intake mani is off. I personally have only pulled a couple of b18 intakes but both times the factory port matching was poor.

I suppose i should mention I also have a full header to tip DC exhaust. By tuning I suppose you mean chipping the ecu to play with the a/f mixtures?

Any time you adjust the airflow tuning helps. The stock ECU can only compensate so much before you need to tell it what to do to be better.

You'll notice a quicker throttle response and some increased flow up top but seeing as how your not VTEC it won't be that noticeable.

Berz out.
