"Property theft"? But he gave her the tickets :)

PJ 12-16-2010 03:14 PM

After she bought the tickets, Payback should've said "I'm in Vegas right now. Let me know."

1. Search for user ID using this link http://pages.ebay.ca/services/forum/feedback-login.html

2. Click on "View ID History" on the right

3. Sign in (you'll need to have an ebay account)

4. See user ID history of account in question

Or

1. Go to site map

2. Click on "Find a Member"

3. Enter member's email address (which you should know when you won an auction through them)

4. Lists the member's user ID

Have an eBay day!

Okay, the second method would work, doing a lookup by email address... unless the guy changes his email address at the same time.

The first method, doesn't the person have to know the NEW identity before he can find out his past identities? Or if you do a lookup of the old identity, it'll show the new identity?

his listings would still be searchable on eBay for 90 days, so he should wait until then before he changes his userID.

[EDIT]also, when you leave feedback, you can just check your "feedback left for others" and it will show you the seller's name. i assume this will change when the userid changes as well

FYI

(1)
If what she meant was that she's depending on Bad Karma to happen to you, you can clarify her with how karma works and that Bad Karma is EXACTLY what just happened to her.

(2)
If I was wrong and it's supposed to be meant as a threat, you can refute her police leverage (which I doubt is even leverage at all) by saying you just provided her with e-mail documents uttering threats.

So really, she's got nothing and her last e-mail is not fooling anyone; it's fun to rub salt in wounds :D

there's a 30 day period where no one can take up the old user ID. during that time i believe it's still searchable under the old as well. assuming they were 'scammed' they most likely would be searching for this guy asap.

i believe the same goes for email addresses too. it's been too long for me to remember exactly as i dont frequent ebay as much anymore. pretty sure though.

all in all you can request the other guy's contact info (phone #) if it gets to a point where you cant email them or anything too.

ebay set it all in place so you can get in contact 1 way or another w/ ppl you're in a transaction with. one of the reasons is to prevent scams from happening.
