mouse pad question I had a quick look around google and couldn't really find a direct answer.... I just picked up a Razer mouse, has super high DPI, and it works great with out using a mousepad. Providing I'm using a clean surface, is there any risk of damaging the mouse from not using one? This may be a stupid question, but thought I'd ask :alone: |
should be alright... I would think most of the wear and tear would be at the little glide pads at the bottom, otherwise the laser itself shouldn't take any damage |
The mouse will work fine. I've been using my razor for over 3 years on a wooden desk. If anything, the only wear and tear will be on the Teflon feet... Otherwise the mouse works like a dream. Personally I think mouse pads just clutter the desk up Posted via RS Mobile |
honestly, i'd really only recommend a mouse pad if the surface you're using doesn't work well. most desks and tables work fine - but some people work on tables with textured wood, where the grain sticks out a bit. That or glass - which doesn't always work well with optical mice, but works fine with most laser mice. Teflon feet last forever though - I've never actually seen one so worn out that you can't use the mice. personally, I use a mouse pad on my desk because it's a nice oak desk - and I don't want to wear out the desk... which is worth a lot more than the mouse. |
