This is an old video that I have not seen until now. I have now watched it many times.

I don't remember where I read it, but there were certain model years of the Toyota Avalon which show the date on the dash. It only goes up to I think 2018 or something and resets back to 1997/1998, or something. I guess their engineers didn't think their cars would last so long. :D

You know when companies change the UI of an app, or flow of a website just to show "change" or faux "improvement", sometimes those changes totally feel like the above endeavor.

I feel that way half the time as well when car manufacturers change functionality for a new model year, but make it more shitty. You ask yourself was his QA'd and tested from a user viability standpoint? Looking at you VW with your stupid changes to haptic feedback from actual buttons on the steering wheel and HVAC controls.
