I'm not impressed with Squid Games, I don't understand the hype. It's a typical netflix show.

Squid game is fucking everywhere on TV and social media, so much that I am sick of it and I will never watch it. Fuck it. I'll go with my original assumption based on the stupid name and promo images

I agree, I binged it when I was sick for a few days but honestly it was meh. By the time I got to the end I was fast forwarding through the last two episodes.

I don't get the hype, I honestly think it's because the Teens love it I know my son like it a lot and he's 15 so I think he smacks the demographics.

Only Murders in the Building, season finale streams today

I love it, if you like murder mysteries with a bit of a laugh you'll like this

Steve Martin and Martin Short, along with Selena Gomez sounds like an odd trio, but it works!

Think I recommended the show before hmm

Anyway it streams on Disney+ in Canada (starz) and Hulu if you're in the states

I just finished binging My Name in 2 days. Pretty enjoyable. A decent balance of drama and action. A bit of female John Wick but more hand to hand and less guns. Although nothing overly unique about it as a whole. I would still give it about a 8/10. The actress looked like she really trained for her fight scenes and some of the camera angles in the fight scenes were very well done.

lol... I would actually be surprised if teens are into the show. If anything, something like Alice in Borderland would interest the teens since it's more edgy and action packed. I would think the underlying themes in SG would generally be lost or unrelatable to a teen.

But meh, no show is going to have a 100% hit on literally everyone. Someone's gonna not like it. lol. Just that most people didn't, so it's blowing up.

inside job (animated series) - One episode in and loving it so far. So many conspiracy easter eggs. Great writing. Hilarious references.

Just finished watching this on Mikemhg's recommendation -- all 4 seasons. Holy gosh... it is good!

The only part I didn't understand was the 3P incident. Actually, that whole story arc didn't seem like it was particularly well done. The motivation for the 2 supporting characters didn't make enough sense to me, even though I can see why the director wanted to paint the storyline for the main character. And if the director wanted to inject something racy into the show, they should have gone further to make that scene more revealing. As it is done right now, I just couldn't understand why they did it the way it was done.

Finished squid game, 6/10

Honestly expected a lot more after the red light/green light episode in terms of the games

Extracurricular

I binged it in 2 days over the weekend. Maybe 6.5/10...
It's an interesting story but I kind of hate the characters.

I seriously hate watching shows with teenage character leads. I feel so boomer and all I can see is all the stupid shit they do and I cannot relate with their decision making at all. Other than that... not a bad story and concept. I'm not sure if it's just bad writing or too "accurate" to emulate how someone of that character's age would act. But it drives me nuts.

Spoiler!

Was getting excited about He-man season 2 getting released this coming Tuesday, but then I found out it was only going to be 5 episodes.

Reportedly, there is also gonna be a scene between Skeletor and Evil-Lyn. Wait wat?!

I like that it's going in small increments!

He-Man is really quite good, and it's one of the few 'adult cartoons' I've checked out that I am able to enjoy. I find most 'adult cartoons' to actually be more 'stoned out of your mind' cartoons, which is fine but I don't get stoned anymore so they're not for me.

So I finished watching Masters of Universe: Revelation Season 2 last night.

For me, it is only a 7/10 because I'd really wish it was more about He-man, and less about other characters. And if I can put those sentiments aside, I'd give it an 8/10 because the story is decent. The plot twist was unexpected, but entirely logical, and the finale episode was intense even though you'd just know the good guys are gonna win.

I'm a little surprised that they packed a lot of story telling into those 5 episodes. I also liked the way Beast Man was presented in this 2nd season.

As a comparison, I'd only give the first season a 6/10.

In typical modern series fashion, the producers left an obvious lead behind that can easily lead to a 3rd season, and because of that, I am expecting Season 3 now.

Currently watching Cowboy Bebop (the live action, not anime). It could be better, but overall not bad. I give it around 7/10.
Anime version is way better from what I remember from my youth.

The people are WAY more hateable, and after 5 years about hearing from people like them, you might be tired of it.

A lot of it seems pretty staged
