all you would have to do is look at the name. you would figure out that the person was a girl or guy and then either into the ok stack or paper shredder

more for the benefit of the applicant, so they don't need to waste their time, which is why it's fair to list an employer's preferences
Except that BY LAW it is illegal to hire based on gender. So your point is null. What BlueG2 stated was a loophole and a way for businesses to hire based on gender without getting into trouble. All they have to say is that the applicant did not meet qualifications.
