I bought my gf a $1600 bag in Vegas today. I'm still choosing what I want in return. I think you have it pretty good already. lol

I avoid this problem by not being Christian, and neither is the missus, so we don't buy anything for anyone. :)

^ The majority that celebrate Christmas probably aren't Christian lol. Hell they probably don't even know why it's called Christmas.

^ Not Christian here. Why DO they call it Christmas? :troll:

Agreed not to get each other anything and instead use the money to buy a new bed and matress which we did. However, just got the sake of having something to open I got her a carton of smokes and will be getting her this curling iron from Sephora when it comes in cause it's sold out and on backorder.

My GF was generous enough to have bought me a Spoon S-Tai diffuser for my car... as for what I got her, I got her a bunch of little things, LV bracelet, Jacket, Mittens, Sunglasses, and some other misc items here and there. On the long run, I've probably spent way more on her than she has on me, but its not all about the materialistic values. Hope all of you got what you wanted for Christmas!

I made her a mini christmas tree - complete with lights and stuff.

C'mon guys, it's not about the value but the effort put into it! Make your GF something once in a while!

I sure the hell do not.

Thats not to bad.
Try having one who is in school for cosmetology. It never ceased to amaze me how such small containers of color could cost soooooo much.

Try spending $1100 on different types of hair brushes.

^ that made me LOL.

Got the GF a jacket I knew specifically she wanted, and a digital cam.
Everytime I try getting her something that I don't know for sure she wants, always gets returned.

She got me a pair of Creative Recreations, and a Jack/Jones tee :fullofwin:

the_rickster 01-05-2011 07:39 PM

my wife has been all over the world and used the best products... she has seen and used it all.

so, every year i search everywhere for the newest latest and greatest. this christmas i got her some day cream from a brand that is only sold in one store in canada. $357 for 3oz. also got her a pair of black velvet jeans, some lacey underwear and a few other things... and she got me a macbook air.

fallen88 01-06-2011 11:01 AM

^ LOL.

Goddamn such an expensive time of year for everyone... It just so happens my mom, dad, and sisters birthday all fall into December as well as my anniversary...

I bought my girlfriend a Michael Kors watch and a jacket she had wanted... Not so generous gifts in return but that's not what it's all supposed to be about anyways...

You are dating the wrong kind of woman. I am the best gift my wife ever has and vice versa; and we appreciate that fact so we don't get things for each other for Christmas. I'd rather spend time with her than money.

Also, I rarely shop with/for her and I told her I don't appreciate this type of shopping:

On the rare occasion that I am shopping with her, she would be doing the "man" type of shopping as demonstrated above.

the_rickster 01-07-2011 08:40 AM

she didnt even go to gap!
