Video Intercom Systems

Hey guys, our old intercom just recently blew and needs to be replaced. We're thinking about setting up a new system with a wide angle camera and all the other bells and whistles. I haven't had that much luck pinpointing a good, reputable brand so I was wondering if any of you guys have any experience with these things or can point me in the right direction?

so far I've come across what looks like a promising brand. anybody heard of them? www.entryvue.com

I did a search on the BBB but nothing came up. I also googled "entryvue reviews" but got nothing.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

+1 for aiphone, ours has been going on for 13 years strong, no colour video though on our old system.

I just installed an EntryVue system for someone, replacing an OLD Mircom rig. Was an easy (well, from a wiring perspective) drop-in replacement using the two-wire model. Only real problem we had was that the Mircom components were all huge, leaving big holes in the drywall, but the house was a reno, so the owner was going to have his drywaller fix them up afterward.

We used the VD-900 (http://www.entryvue.com/products/VD900.html) with six monitor stations and one door station.

I have an old videoman that just crapped out on me... I went and tried to search for a replacement and I think the company has gone out of business. Are most of these wired up the same way? Do you think it would just be a plug and play system?

Can anyone recommend me an installer? Our videoman has a camera and the doorbell is part of this system too

The video intercom system can be replaced with the help of cameras and even more. The JKS-1ADF AIPHONE uni is really great and looks quite amazing as they have unlimited features available with them.
