In these kinds of sporting events, silver is the worst medal to "win". Sure, you got 2nd place, but you also see 1st place celebrate with their gold. At least for the Bronze winners, they get a medal while the losers (4th place) get nothing.

The fail was epic in this one. Doesn't matter how much the other team "turns it up" in the third period... to be up 3-0 heading into the 3rd period and then to lose 5-3 is a bonafide epic failure.

Well, to be fair to the Canadian team, they were not expected to be gold medal contenders. They over achieved in this tournament. The boys went all out at the beginning of tonight's game - played with great energy and emotion. Nothing left after that. The Russians are a better team. Our boys gave it their all. Had the fans behind them and they got the big lead. Russians pull their goalie and say, "Enough is enough. It's time to turn the Canadians around and fuck them up the ass."

No time to recouperate....... it's like "Holy shit, oh my god, oh my god..........here they come again!!!!!" Our boys were scared shitless. Not knowing what to do.

It's like being kicked and pounded in the head by a gang of thugs. You just turtle and hope it ends soon.

The coaches? I put some blame on them. They should have warned the players and prepared them for what was about to come. Problem is, everybody, the fans, the players, and even the coaches themselves thought the game was in the bag. That's why it's so easy to call it a melt down or epic fail. You'd figure people would learn through history. Apparently not.

At least we beat the big, bad Americans. In the end, the ugly Soviets beat up our pretty boys.

I miscalculated. It should have been four more goals, LOL.

The nhl needs to stop stealing all our young talent, 7 players that could have played on the team lol...thats my bitter "oh we would have won if" argument lol
