Recommend me a SSD ? What do you guys think of this ? http://ncix.com/products/?sku=53308&...Z%20Technology Total $144.60 after MIR $124.60 or http://ncix.com/products/?sku=56783&...n&promoid=1253 Total 99.99 Any other decent priced SSD ? My budget is 140 max with tax included. |
http://www.memoryexpress.com/Product...8%28ME%29.aspx The same one as the one in your NCIX link, but cheaper, and no bullshit MIR to deal with. I had the 120GB version of it, fast as fuck. I'd highly recommend it. |
Definitely go for Sandforce based. They are one of the best (if not the best) SSD controller out there. |
I got the exact same sandforce for a bit over 100$ and used it to boot windows and my most commonly used programs. So far its been running awesome and no problems |
+1 for a OCZ Vertex 2. They have good warranty too. Mine borked after a firmware update and OCZ replaced it. |
+1 for Sandforce, I use the smaller 40GB F40 from Corsair for my boot drive and even though its the runt of the line, the speed on that drive is up with its bigger brothers ... only downside is that its 40GB is literally should only be used as a boot drive cause it won't fit anything else ... I run an Intel V25M 80GB to house my games which has a great read speed but very low write (yet Windows 7 scores my Sandforce at a 7.4 and my Intel at a 7.8) ... |
