"explorer.exe" won't start up on bootup. (Note that everything was working fine before I set up an account password) Just recently, I decided to add a password to my account (i'm the admin as well), and now when I boot up windows, the "explorer.exe" doesn't automatically start up. After entering my password, I just get a blank screen. I can then "ctrl+alt+del" and manually run "explorer.exe" Then I get my task bar, icons, etc But some stuff on the system tray doesn't start up, and other things I've set to auto-start on bootup, such as my widgets, my Anti-Virus program, speedfan, msn, etc. But, I figured out that if I just log off my account, and then login again, explorer runs, all my icon and system tray stuff load up as normal. So this is weird. |
