I like urban fare's smoked salmon eggs benny.

MindBomber 12-31-2010 11:23 AM

i think in most places you can mix your bennies

cafe barney's on main and broadway has a pretty good selection too

miss_crayon 01-01-2011 11:20 AM

Joes grill (any location)
Urban fare
White spot
Dutch wooden cafe (not the super traditional benny but still good)

Milestones is okay but I find their hollandaise sauce can be a bit...citrusy

Its hard to say which is the best in town in my opinion. Its a pretty easy dish to make. Tastes almost the same all around. But if I have to list some places...

Locus
Crave
Subeez
District

Cafe Barney's

The smoked salmon and the Cajun sausage?

Cafe Barney and Le Provence Marina Side

Iron Chef 01-04-2011 03:52 PM

checked out cafe barney's on main street
cajun benny was pretty good with chorizo and salsa.

service was horrible, benny took 45min to arrive but thats not what pissed me off, the table beside me that ordered after i did got there food before me.

bcrdukes 01-04-2011 04:14 PM

Service @ Cafe Barney is predictably slow and horrible during the weekdays. Their benny's are okay in my books but they seem to be inconsistent. I've had good benny's during their weekend brunch rush.

For a twist on the benny, I like going to Seb's on Broadway, just a block west from Fraser across from Anna's Cake House.

Everyone seems to like the one at Crave. I personally wasn't a huge fan.
I like it old fashioned, with rich hollandaise. For me, I like Bert's on Main and.. 17th? Across from IGA and Blockbuster.
