RaceLab GroupOn - 20 Laps $99

This looks like a pretty good deal. Here's a description:

Quote:

The RaceLab provides Vancouver-area thrill junkies an outlet of fast-paced kart racing with professional instruction and high-powered vehicles. The geared karts forgo the typical lawnmower engine in lieu of a 28hp, two-stroke Italian machine capable of reaching 130 km/h, allowing grass cutters around the nation to rumble a sigh of relief. To complement the speed of the four-wheeled frames, racers trace the lines of the Greg Moore Raceway, garnering adrenaline as minivans look on with bitter jealousy. Before embarking on the 20 lap vision-blurring ride, a professional instructor briefs Formula One–inspired karters on proper handling procedures for their vehicle. Racers must be at least 16 years of age to participate, and all customers must make a reservation.

Less than 50 left! I really want to pull the trigger on this one. Any RS User reviews?

I'd say go for it looks like a lot of fun for $99

Didn't even know there was a more professional karting place locally. Too bad I don't have time for this :(

less than 15. 10 bought in the last 5 minutes.

The number may be misleading... they actually need 100 purchases before the deal is activated... so I don't know whether 100 is also the cutoff for how many they're selling.

Here is the Greg Moore Raceway:

Apparently it takes just under a minute per lap... so it's actually not that much seat time in total... like 20 minutes... but I've never been in go karts that were anywhere as powerful, so I'm willing to give it a go.

I just bought one before seeing this thread... I was going to post about it. :p

deal is on at 11:41 am. woo hoo

Thinking about grabbing one since these ones are so powerful, I haven't been go-carting in a long time because I always found them a bit dull with the very minimal power. Opinions guys, are go-carts really that much fun?

spoon.ek9 12-30-2010 12:43 PM

it's only fun when your friends go with you and the noobs gtfo of the way :D

:fuckyea:

How revscene members call themselves car enthusiasts if they dont enjoy racing? jus saying...

If you're a speed, race and technical junkie...professional go-karts is the way to go. If your a noobie...practice and understand the cornering with the slower indoor carts. Then work your way up.

Trust me...for the guys who think it's cool to have a lead foot and speed around the city. Or haters who say racing isn't a sport. These 2 stroke go-karts will make you shit ur pants. Your laptime will be no where compared to real racers.

As for this deal. It's a great price but considering the drive to chilliwack...dunno if its worth it.

100 bucks for 20 laps isn't worth it, 20 laps fly by like nothing. Your better off going with one of the karting companies and just do a full weekend race which is about 3-4 hundred bucks
