Canada post duties upon delivery.. payment?

hi all,... i'm expecting a package tomorrow with approx $42 in duties. can i pay the canada post courier via credit card upon delivery to my door? are they equipped to accomodate c/c payments or does it have to be cash/cheque?

thanks.

Pretty much cash/cheque unless you're at a post office.

yes they accept credit card, they will not accept cheques unless it's a business cheque. no personal cheque

I've paid them with my credit card at the door a few times before so yes they are able to accept credit card at the door

Credit card is fine, if you don't have sufficient funds you'll receive a letter a couple weeks later asking you to send in the payment.

cc

credit card or cash. If you dont have sufficient funds, ask your letter carrier to card the parcel to the nearest retail outlet for pickup and you can pay for it at the retail outlet.

No cheques period. We will take business cheques but even then prefer cc or cash.

Unless things have changed, the mail person will just write down your cc info on the customs form, give you a copy, and process the actual payment later.

thanks.

how is canada post tracking?

this is an item coming from the usa. it has already cleared customs and the following msg has been displayed since the 31st (of course, sat/sun/mon were non workdays) but should i expect the package today? do they update their tracking frequently?

"item processed at postal facility"

EDIT: nvm, it just arrived 2:45pm.
