Police camping outside of my street

So I went out party on New Year eve and came home at around 4am on New year Day.

I saw a police car parked with engine on in front of my neighbor's house (4 houses down)

I woke up after 6 or 7 hrs and went out again. Got to my car and I saw the police car is still there in the same spot with engine on. Then it got me thinking what is going on now....

I came home the next day and now there is a SUV police car parked outside the house (they are most likely rotating shifts).

I am wondering what is going on? In what situation would a police camp outside someone's house for 3 days ... ??

Block watch ? Looking for suspicios grow up ?

This happens in my neighborhood all the time. But then we have some shady folks in my neighborhood to and probably a grow op or three. (Welcome to suburbia in the Lower Mainland eh?)

We've all kinda gotten used to it. In all honesty I prefer it when they're there then when they're not.

Had the same thing happen to me..for a week or two there were cops regularly parked in marked CVPIs outside my house. Then the cops called my house during the day and asked if someone had called 911 from my house..no one had. They came over to make sure everything was okay and searched the house.

In a separate incident, a black Suburban stopped in front of my neighbor's house across the street and a cop in protective gear came out with a dog.

Sketchy stuff. But welcome to Abbotsford.
