got a 2003 g35 sedan and im tryin to pass V.I. ill give anyone that will let me borrow tires on rims, steelies etc. that have enough tread to pass $100. U can have em right back come to the shop with me. and watch. 15 minutes of yur time

if 114.3x5 +35 will work lemme kno.

OK - really I am not into flaming people, but I just wanted to say - you are going to borrow tires to pass VI then put your bald or low tread tires back on ?

Have you thought about safety besides the legal issue?

Are you going to borrow someone else's whole car too when you crash yours?

(remember - ICBC can easily void coverage for bald / improper tires)

Are you going to tell a parent that they need to borrow someone else's child when you run theirs over?

Please think about it - there are laws and VI's for a reason and while I know that cops give out bogus VI's (I've had more than my share of them), in general they can be a good thing, I have seen serious defects uncovered during a VI.

Like I said I am not trying to give anyone a hard time, and I am sure you can rationalize your actions somehow.

This is just food for thought.

Edit: Beyond those points - you could probably find at least two used "safe" (read "legal") tires and get them mounted for around the $100 you are offering to "borrow" rims

Just buy two tires for god sakes.
