What's with all these Tampon Ads? Don't women talk to each other in person about these things?

All of a sudden women stopped talking about periods? They don't discuss this shit in schools? I remember sex ed back in my day. It was a shame they separated the boys from the girls. Guys could have leaned a thing or two.

Anyway, the 2020 tampon ads on television starts with this one...........




Then she (Amy Schumer) becomes the expert and carries around samples and a fucking chart with her? The reaction on her face when she hears a girl in a stall making sounds.............. "Yes! Here's my chance to show a youngster all about tampons."

I remember learning from women how some didn't like tampons cuz they hurt/felt too big etc etc

Then one day a buncha hens brought up the topic of their tampons/pads n I thought "well I'm stuck in this convo I'll chime in with a comment" :lol

I made mention of how some women I knew who didn't like them because they hurt...and wow they acted like I was mansplaining about how tampons worked, and how dare I relate to them the experiences of other women (they seemed to think I was making up these comments from other women)

then a few weeks later some ads started to come out about new different sized tampons yeeesh

Tampons have come a long way........... I wAnder if the extra small ones can be used for a bleeding nose.

Someone mentioned on RS how they used tampons in the garage to soak up fluids in the garage. Reminds me of that horror show where mother uses tampons to plug her kids' ears while they were at a NASCAR event.

Heineken needs to get with the times. Just about every other ad has changed to include people of colour. Even if it doesn't make any fucking sense at all. Just make a commercial and fill it with black people because that's the cool thing to do. McDonald's does it ad nauseam.

Now imagine the driver in this Heineken ad being a black guy................. um, yeah. Not great, lol.

So many trends in television ads.

Use of talking animals, for example, started a couple of years ago with Geico and their talking gecko, then others followed, like Aflac, and Aventura.

The one that really gets annoying is the sound of an eagle whenever an ad takes place outdoors. I guess it makes sense. What other sound would give you a sense of being outdoors?

Then there are the ads that use one person to play multiple roles, like the quadruple take Buick ad. Good Food does the same thing with the caveman ad.

Notice the eagle sound?

Another trend in ads is the use of 70's music. I guess no royalties? Or not that costly?

Amazon ads............ my favourite is the Medusa one, followed by the Rapunzal one. Then they just plain lost it.
