coin-op car wash

Hi,

Newbie here. All I need is a rinse hose--with water of course--I have my own bucket and soap and what not. Living in an old apartment building doesn't go with those car wash station perks. Any where in Vancouver or at least nearby have something like this? No auto wash or full detail please.

Googled a bit and heard there's one near royal oak station. I thought Revscene people would know more places.

Thanks. :)

^ off the oak bridge, onto garden city, take the right when you see an oil change place, same mall. Yea cant miss it.
dont use their brush, it'll damage paint work lol
may i recommend Optimum No Rinse so you can do it in your carpark spot? lol

there's one on hastings, near kensington.

coin-op's aren't usually the greatest for your clearcoat, unless you're you're just spraying it down.

Thanks guys, that was fast.

How great is the Optimum No Rinse thing, anyone with experience with it?

Btw, does Vancouver road crew use salt when it's snowing?

I need a hose to rinse down the underbody and all the crap in the wheel well--I've picked out pile of dirt+leaves from it before..

it's salted before it even starts snowing, to prevent black ice and all...

if i can make a recommendation, i'd go to that super fancy place on terminal

I've used the one near Royal Oak. It does the job. Can't really complain for a coin operated wash. If I had a choice I'd rather buy a few products and just borrow a friend/family member's hose at their house.

simply add solution to bucket of water, use a sponge/towel, wipe onto car, wipe dry with another, rinse the wash sponge/towel back into solution, dirt will get encapsulated and drop to the bottom. Its good to do after a quick rinse off of initial dirt/salt at a touchless carwash then you're good to ONR in your garage then apply wax/sealants =p

I go to washworld and get the $6 automatic wash during winter, then I go through another three times since they guarantee that you'll be satisfied or you can go through again for free.
