It has gotten to the point that, from a security perspective, it can not go on like it is, it needs a complete overhaul & re-writing, I hoped & tried to get the go ahead & budget to do that, but unfortunately I was not successful, the company is not willing to invest the funds & resources required to keep the site ticking over safely & reliably.

Unfortunately it is judged there is no longer potential for growth, that best case scenario would be merely to maintain current traffic, but it is more likely to reduce over time, meanwhile the company can devote the same resources to new projects with significant potential.

As far as we can tell user data was not compromised, in order to ensure user data security it is all going to be wiped clean, & the sites will not be sold to anyone else, they will simply be closed down.

On a personal level I would like to thank you for the help you have given, it has been good working with you & getting to know you, I am really sorry this went down as it did, while we all still had so much invested in the community, it is a very sad day indeed & a rather inglorious end sad smiley

I'm still quite stunned tbh, after all these years it is going to be very weird not checking on the site every day, & very weird all those relationships & the living community have just come to such a sudden stop, I think I'm due a nice strong bourbon confused smiley

hm i switched over to cheggit after empornium was sold or whatever. had an account at puretna but i was never a fan of the interface. not a big loss in my opinion.
