I wanted to but no ride :( hhaha

g_spyder91 01-18-2011 08:49 AM

I'll probably try to make the journey all the way out there, just wish they could find a way to hold this event closer to the lower mainland.

CharlieH 01-19-2011 04:43 AM

gonna ride there if weather permits lol

LOL! That's pretty brave. Luckily we have the tropical weather coming upstream to keep it warm but man, still chilly. :p

I'm going to try to make it out but it's looking grim right now.

I went a couple of years ago, this was when I wasn't that much into bikes, but since getting my class 6 things have changed :). I'm looking forward to it this year, wanna see the new Honda cbr 250r and the ZX-10R =D

bcrdukes 01-19-2011 10:56 PM

Totally forgot about the Honda CBR250R. This would be a good opportunity to check out the bike up close and personal without the pesky sales pressure. :p

CharlieH 01-19-2011 11:46 PM

go check out the redlinegear booth guys. they'll have all the new RS Taichi stuff on display

Midnitez 01-20-2011 12:45 AM

ky 01-20-2011 09:21 PM

becks7 01-20-2011 11:10 PM

Im going for sure.

Jermyzy 01-21-2011 03:54 PM

Abbotsford too far for me to go Wanted to visit redline to pick up a new back protector, but not worth gas/ticket price, might as well pick it up locally at regular price :p

whitev70r 01-21-2011 04:18 PM

I've been a number of years ago and it was pretty weak ... no thanks. What, their GRAND prize is like $500 at Yamaha dealer ... how about a bike or a scooter for grand prize?

I stand corrected ... there is a ultimate grand prize of bikes. Still doesn't make me want to buy ticket and go though.

Jermyzy 01-22-2011 12:54 AM

^The grand prize is choice of Yamaha Stryker, Fazer 8, Kodiak 45, or a pair of scooters :p
$500 is runnerup prize. I'm still on the fence whether to go tomorrow or not...need a new back protector, but not sure if savings is worth gas/time/entrance fee :p

taylor192 01-22-2011 06:54 AM

If I was in town I'd probably go just for the hell of it, yet I have heard that it sucks balls.

Jermyzy 01-22-2011 11:32 AM

Heading down there now. Nothing else to do anyways :p

If you follow bikes much the show an be quite un-eventful.
Nothing much new to look at this year.
All the new bikes seem the be changing there styling for the worse (although I do like the new Z1000)

The new gixxers don't look as good. Although i really like the body lines though. The new cbr125's are a huge improvement over last years. I also really like zx10r.
