NAIL POLISH ON BMW X3 INTERIOR

Hi guys and girls,

It sounds stupid, but I got nail polish all over my seat, door panel and steering wheel. (due to defected nail polish pen - the back cap flew off as I was shaking the pen)

I've tried nail polish remover and it got SOME of it off, but the rest is not coming off.

Please let me know if there's something out there that works....

it also got on my clothing too - if you have any thing to get that out as well.

I am more concerned about my car interior than my clothes, but ideally, would wish for both to be clear of nail polish.

My interior is leather (man-made), kind of like alligator skin looking with the bumps, so the nail polish is in there ......

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE OR ADVICES. THANK YOU SINCERELY.

J

I think you're gonna need to seek a professional....try and seek out KEN (our sponsor of this specific forum) ....gonna be lucky if you can get it all out without damaging your interior someway or another if you do it yourself...dont experiment, especially if you love your car.

I'm not too sure if this will work, but I was thinking isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and a toothbrush. Try not to drench the area with the liquid--just use as much as needed. Hope this helps!

ive actually delt with nail polish on interior before and unfortunatly it doesnt work out well. Alot of time it will leave a stain. also the long you leave it there, the more damager it will do. i would start off with nail polish remover and try more agressive stuff such as allpurpose solvents if nail polish remover doesnt work.

I've never had to deal with nail polish but a new product we got in from Raceglaze is supposed to work on paint based stains etc. If you can pop out here we can try it and see what we can do. :)

Thanks for the suggestions.

My current state of day 2 nail polish -
Nail polish remover with acetone - thinning out the nail polish but also making smudges
Nail polish without acetone, with paintbrush - little by little, it is fading, but the big marks are still smudging...

Paint thinner - nothing

I do have pictures - I will update them ...

Thank u for the info guys and gals...
