Question about grease

Hey is "marine" grease pretty much the same as automotive chassis/wheel bearing grease? i'm guessing the only difference is the marine grease has some sort of rust inhibitors and/or other additives? The reason I ask is because my boss gave me a small grease gun but I can't find the small tubes of yellow grease, only blue grease (marine grease from canadian tire) or black coloured lithium grease. the u-joints and ball joints on my truck have the yellow automotive grease in them, can the blue marine grease or black lithium grease be mixed with that stuff? are they pretty much the same? sure smells like they're the same but that's not a good way to tell

thanks!

axle grease is basically just a multipurpose grease. the marine app probably has a slightly different chemistry but is still basically the same thing. as long as it's not being used for bearings, it should be fine

Marine grease has a much better water resistance
