Most of them probably just get by.. There are tonnes of users out there who know jack all about Computers and go to the smaller companies for advice.. Not always the best decision depending on who you go to but thats what ive noticed... Like I said the company I work at used to be all about break fix and retail.. But you just cant keep up with the bigger chains. So thats why we went to Managed Services makes a lot more monthly revenue.. Tones of customers out there. Pretty damn easy to prospect aswell. Plus what small company with 10-20 workstations wants to pay for a 50k-75k a year for an IT guy when you can pay us 1/3 of that and get everything done remotely.

One thing smaller companies must succeed at when running a business is Customer service!!!
Ive had tonnes of walk in's come to me saying the company down the block is a crap hole and have no service and thats why they are in my door step.. Then referrals are sent to us and that how you keep in the game.. If not your pretty much SOL for business.

IMHO THATS your most easiest route.

gl on purchase in any case.
it's 7 days, and people like you are the reason why other stores have restocking fee

im sure if lots of people keep returning stuff within the time frame, ME will bring in this restocking fee because it eating at their profits, then you guys have no one to blame but yourselves.

if you shop at memory express you can hear the salesperson tell undecisive people, " if you don;t like return it within so and so days" they are pretty aggressive in using this. and as far as i've known and as long as memory express has been open (~14years or more) they have never charged restocking fees. if people didn't buy and return stuff where would all the open box deals go? i've been stuck with a few lemons before and it's nice to know that if i don't like it i can return it with no penalty.

i remember when memoryexpress was an online retailer and the only way to get specialty memory ordered for cheap was through them, its nice to see them grow up into a full fledge electronics store.
