Looking for someone to do upgrade my AT&T Captivate to Android 2.3

Hi there

Just got a use AT&T Captivate phone from eBay and running with 2.2. Prefer upgrade to a stable ROM with 2.3.

Anyone can help me here ? Willing to pay reasonable price.

Please advise ASAP.

no stable release for 2.3 on Captivate (or any non-i9000 Galaxy S) yet
There is ONE 2.3 rom for the T-mo Vibrant, but it's barebones proof of concept, not even the dialer works

Actually even though I am running 2.2 but my lock screen is not slided one with 2 simple bar (very similar to iphone3), how can I fix it ?

Also try everything and still cannot get my phone rooted. I am running FROYO.UCJI6. Using SuperOneClick v1.5 but no luck at all.

Please help.

Hey, I can help fix your phone and root it. PM me, I worked on your Magic before.

And by the looks of it, Gingerbread isn't quite fully baked for Captivate yet. Did some browsing on XDA's Captivate dev forum and we're looking at a ton of Froyo roms and a semi-functional (non-stable) Gingerbread port project.

Bump, sorry for second post but since you're having trouble with SuperOneClick, I managed to find this thread and used method #2 to root a stock 2.1 Captivate last night.
