subwoofer repair? hi all, i got 2 kicker cvts sitting in my garage, i hadnt used them for long time since they are both blown... i was thinking maybe i should try to repair it instead of throwing them away... i have no idea how to do it though, maybe there is a diy on google somewhere.. anyone ever repair blown subs befor? of course my sub still plays but is half blown... |
usually not worth repairing. even with $500+ value subs, it just isnt worth going thru the hassle. plus when i tried to get my alpine type R and kicker L7 repaired, i couldnt find any shops that dealt with repairing car audio speakers. |
depends on which part is broken, you might not be able to find the parts with the original spec for it work as it was designed. |
I've repaired hundreds of subs and speakers. Theres all sorts of part available to do so. I've even built custom one off subs for people |
You can also try Kinetic Sounds services Fraser and 26th ave they do repairs for all speaker types. |
Great guys to deal with here also: http://vancouveraudiospeakerclinic.com/ |
