subwoofer repair?

hi all, i got 2 kicker cvts sitting in my garage, i hadnt used them for long time since they are both blown... i was thinking maybe i should try to repair it instead of throwing them away... i have no idea how to do it though, maybe there is a diy on google somewhere.. anyone ever repair blown subs befor? of course my sub still plays but is half blown...

usually not worth repairing. even with $500+ value subs, it just isnt worth going thru the hassle. plus when i tried to get my alpine type R and kicker L7 repaired, i couldnt find any shops that dealt with repairing car audio speakers.

depends on which part is broken, you might not be able to find the parts with the original spec for it work as it was designed.
