Not that bad imo heard it on the radio this morning too, i remember being put through worse. people are always tripping over the most minuscule things.And the mother even knows its not that bad she sent it to doctor phil. lmao.

this is nothing.. Hot sauce? bahah that was water for me at that kids age :P. My parents used to give me beatings if i goofed up.

i remember my mom putting a cayenne pepper in my mouth when i first learned the word "fuck" after that i never got any punishments.

I'm all for smacking your kid and setting things straight when they don't behave, but the cold shower can get the kid real sick.

The vid was pretty bad. I understand hitting your kid may not warrant action like this, but its not like the authorities would take the kid just because the video went viral.

i recieved the feather whip on a frequent basis when i was younger, but cold shower is pretty brutal

woman had it coming, no sympathy for her since shes stupid enough to video tape it and send it to Dr. Phil

That woman should've just beaten the kid, that will ALWAYS set things straight.

Man. The cold shower bit is pretty hardcore. If anyone has ever experienced a quick dip in cold water, your body goes into shock and it gets pretty hardcore if it's prolonged.

Back in the day, I use to get whipped with a belt if I ever acted out of line. But looking back I deserved that shit.

And by belt, I mean with the belt buckle end.

Standards today have definitely changed!

cold shower is extreme but things have changed from when i was young..a good beating after a nice fuck up was expected..and yes if i screwed up i deserved it and knew what was coming to me..haha..

I got the belt, slippers, wooden spoon...but never this far. Shoulda just beat her kids.

Oooohhhhh I forgot about the wooden spoon. The old school fly swatter hurt like fuck too. Actually, come to think of it, my parents got hold of whatever they could at the time.

but by far the worst punishment i was ever given....stand in the corner silently facing the wall....and eat dry toast :( (if i was fucking around near breakfast time...no fruit loops for me...id get dry toast)

To be honest I am really on the fence about this...

I was physically punished as a child (belt, hand, wooden spoon) and it was a always a really horrible experience at the time. Did it make me a more balanced adult? perhaps.

Some of these kids who have no respect for anything these days I would love to slap the sh!t out of, but I am not sure if its honestly the best way.

The mother in this particular vid was a little sadistic, but she should have at least taped what the boy did wrong to prove her point.
